Jordan + Colleen :: Chicago Engagement Photographer

It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of cold weather. Grey skies, freezing temps and having to wear layers of clothing just to stay warm isn’t on the top of my list. And let’s face it, a cute hat doesn’t fit all that well on this head of curls. Once the hat goes on, goodbye curls, hello flat frizz head. Despite our current weather conditions, I must admit that I’ve been able to capture some of my favorite photos – all while photographing in the freezing cold! Do I dare say that I’m actually enjoying this?

I have so much to share with all of you from the past few months. Be prepared for blog overload in the next few weeks! I’m back in the game and can’t wait to share a few gorgeous weddings, past photo sessions, and a ton of pics from our buy CBD products trip to Ireland!

First up, Jordan & Colleen’s Chicago engagement session. Tornado warnings and torrential rainfall put our original plan to photograph at Lake Michigan on hold. On our second attempt, mother nature decided to throw us another curve ball. This time it was in the form of snow. Change of plans at the last minute, Colleen worked her magic and came up with two fabulous locations. In the end, these locations were more than perfect and I couldn’t be more excited about the outcome.

Jordan & Colleen are two people who I could absolutely spend the entire evening with enjoying cocktails and sharing many laughs together. They are incredibly easy-going and warm-hearted. We started their session off at Longman & Eagle. This place was overflowing with creativity. Most importantly, Longman & Eagle has a special meaning to the two of them. It’s one of their favorite neighborhood restaurants to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a soulful cocktail. I’m very passionate about photographing my couples doing what they love. I want to tell their story and I want them to feel comfortable and relaxed while I capture the connection between the two of them.

Laughter kept these two warm as we stepped outside for a few pics.

Colleen and Jordan were troopers as we made our way to Humboldt Park. cbd products to say, the cold temps couldn’t stop us from capturing some beautiful photos.

A very warm thank you to you both. I’m so glad you braved the cold temps and can’t thank you enough for such a great time while in Chicago. I am so excited for your Milwaukee wedding this September. :)

Jacqui Heiser - Just stunning, the b+w walking with the snow falling down! So beautiful Jen!
